Firstly, we look at your medical history and the reason you are coming to see me today. I then make a diagnosis that looks at the connection between your symptoms, many of which may seem unrelated from a western medical perspective. My knowledge and understanding provide the basis for your treatment and the choice of acupuncture points.
We treat the person, not the disease, looking at the root cause as well as symptoms.
The needles I use are specifically acupuncture needles. They are as fine as a shaft of hair. They are not like the needles used for injections or blood tests as they do not conduct fluid in or out of the body and therefor feel nothing like these procedures. Most patients feel little or no sensation when I insert the needles. The needles are sterile, disposable steel needles. After the needles are inserted I check that you are comfortable and let you relax with the needles in place. You can listen to music or just have quiet. Please where loose clothing and plan a gentle time afterwards.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed depends on the condition and response of the client. Treatment needs to be frequent and long enough for the Acupuncture to give you the healing you seek. It so often depends on the length of time you have had the problem. Treatment is most effective when initial appointments are scheduled close together and taper off as you feel the accumulative results.
During the Covid endemic[ after a pandemic], government guidelines and professional bodies state that we can treat with masks for your confidence, pre-screening checks and timing differences to allow for cleaning etc. Some of our work can be via Zoom link if that would assist you. I will advise returning and new clients accordingly. Please wear loose fitting clothes and no perfume/aftershave.
Fees for the first consultation and treatment is £80 [ 1 hr approx]
Acupuncture repeat treatments are then £55, [40 mins approx]
NB Times given are maximum times allowed.
Cancellation policy please give 48 hours notice to cancel any appointment, otherwise there is a cancellation fee for the full amount due.
